Zacapu
Zacapu (original name Tzacapo Tacanendam, translated to Spanish as "Lugar de Piedras" or "Place of Stones" in English) is a city and its surrounding municipality in the Nahuatzen mountains of north-central Michoacán, Mexico. Located near Compandaro Michoacan, the city had a population of 51,386 in the 2005 census and the municipality 70,636. The municipality has an area of 455.96 km² (176.05 sq mi).
Location 19°49′N 101°48′W / 19.817°N 101.8°W, 64 km west-north-west of Morelia.
Morelos Ave. and Madero Ave. are the main streets in the town. It is beautiful and enigmatic. Packaging is the main industry. Vegetables, sugarcane, fruit, corn are produced.

- a Franciscan convent with a sun clock from the 16th century.
- Cerro del Tecolote, a mountain with an elevation of 3400m.

- The Crucita; old Tarascan ceremonial center
- Tarejero, a historical site where the purepechas had another city.
