Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District is a public school district based in Pharr, Texas (USA).

The district serves most of Pharr, San Juan, and Alamo as well as a small portion of McAllen.

On June 6, 2007, The Dallas Morning News reported that Arturo Guajardo, the superintendent of PSJA ISD, and board members Raul Navarro, Evangelina De Leon, and Rogelio Rodriguez, were indicted on corruption charges. [1].

In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[1]

High Schools (Grades 9-12)

A fifth high school is under construction in the Las Milpas area of Pharr, and set to open in the 2010-11 school year.
