KRIS-DT2

KRIS-DT2 is the CW-affiliated television station for South Texas. The station is part of The CW Plus, a special CW feed that broadcasts on cable and/or over-the-air on a digital signal. It is a second digital subchannel of NBC affiliate KRIS-TV that is owned by Cordillera Communications (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Evening Post Publishing Company). Over-the-air, KRIS-DT2 broadcasts a digital signal on VHF channel 13.2 from a transmitter in Robstown. Known on-air as CW South Texas, this can also be seen on Grande Communications channel 16 and Time Warner channel 23. KRIS-DT2's parent station has studios on Artesian Street in Downtown Corpus Christi.

Newscasts

Like all CW Plus affiliates in the Central Time Zone, the station airs the nationally syndicated morning show The Daily Buzz on weekdays from 5 to 8. There is also a weeknight 9 o'clock newscast produced by KRIS-TV which is simulcasted on low-power Independent K47DF. On that station, the news is known by a different title.
