KNIC-DT

KNIC-DT is a full-service television station in Blanco, Texas, broadcasting locally in digital on UHF channel 18 as the Telefutura station for San Antonio. Founded July 13, 2005, the station is owned by Univision Television Group Inc.. KNIC-DT replaced KNIC-CA, which formerly broadcast on channel 17 as the Telefutura station.

Digital television

Because it was granted an original construction permit after the FCC finalized the DTV allotment plan on April 21, 1997 [1], the station did not receive a companion channel for a digital television station. Instead, on June 12, 2009, which was the end of the digital TV conversion period for full-service stations, KNIC-TV turned off its analog signal and turned on its digital signal (called a "flash-cut").
