Brownsville Urban System
The Brownsville Urban System, or "BUS" for short, is a mass transit system based in and serving Brownsville, TX. It is currently the largest mass transit system in the Rio Grande Valley, TX, and is the only mass transit system in Cameron County, TX.

Terminals
- Market Square Terminal - Main downtown terminal which serves the majority of the routes
- Northside Transfer Station - Built early 2006 as a means of expanding BUS mass transit service to North Brownsville and its surrounding cities
- Sunrise Mall - The terminus for four routes

- 8 - Lemon
- 9 - Austin - Serves the Brownsville Public Utilities Board Main Office
- 11 - OPI (Old Port Isabel)
- 13 - Sunrise Mall
- 14 - ITECC Campus
- 20 - North
- 30 - Southeast
- 31 - Brownsville/La Paloma
Former Routes
- Amigoland - Service from Downtown Brownsville to the former Amigoland Mall, now part of The University of Texas at Brownsville.
- Crosstown - Service from East Brownsville to West Brownsville via Boca Chica Blvd. This was one of the few routes in BUS history not to depart from a main terminal.
- Trolley Service - Provided narrated trolley service departing from the Brownsville Visitor's Center on Ruben Torres Sr. Blvd and had scheduled stops at several city points, including Gladys Porter Zoo.

Facts
- BUS does not operate on Sundays and some major holidays, such as Christmas and Independence Day.
- BUS serves more than 1.5 million passengers a year. In 2002, BUS served 1,631,349 passengers in its fixed-route bus service and 54,526 passengers in its paratransit services.
